Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment are seeking Class 2 Drivers in Tewkesbury to work with our client, who is the UK's leading Logistics & Distributionprovider. The role involves driving a Class 2 vehicle for bulk collections and deliveries from the Gloucester depot with occasional on-site work.

Shifts are full-time, Monday to Friday with a 09:00 start. A minimum of 12 months’ commercial driving experience, a valid UK DCPC and Digi-tacho card are required. You must be a UK resident with right to work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience driving commercially.
• Must hold Class 2 driving licence.
• UK DCPC card and valid Digi-tacho card required.
• May be rejected for certain endorsements (DD, TT, DR, CD, IN).
• Ability to work as part of a customer-facing team.

Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 (Cat C) vehicle for bulk collections and deliveries.
• Delivering cages, pallets, stillages and freight to customers' premises.
• Working to a delivery schedule with some handballing.
• Scanning consignments in and out and completing delivery paperwork.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects.

As this is a customer facing role, we are looking for people who are clean and tidy and havethe ability to deal with different types of people.

About you

Youmusthave your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least12 monthsexperience driving commercially.You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not acceptDD, TT, DR, CD, INendorsements.

As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations and maintain your own compliance requirements and you will be required to complete a Drug & Alcohol test and also a driving assessment.
