Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting a Class 2 Driver for a Swansea-based temporary role. You will operate a Class 2 vehicle safely, perform daily checks, and deliver goods on schedule within planned routes.

Strong communication with offices and customers is essential, as is adherence to tachograph and driving hours rules. Candidates must hold a valid UK Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and understand load security and vehicle loading/unloading procedures.

Qualifications

  • Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
  • Driver CPC qualification up to date.
  • Digital tachograph knowledge and ability to comply with drivers' hours regulations.
  • Experience driving LGV vehicles with a strong focus on safe driving standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class 2 vehicle in a safe and responsible manner in line with all relevant legislation and company procedures.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues promptly.
  • Deliver goods to customers efficiently, accurately, and within agreed time windows.
  • Follow route plans and navigation instructions while maintaining compliance with driving hours and tachograph rules.
  • Secure loads correctly and ensure vehicles are loaded/unloaded safely and in accordance with manual handling procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, including delivery documentation and any required paperwork.
  • Communicate professionally with transport office staff and customers regarding deliveries, delays, and queries.
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements, including site rules and safe working practices.
