Major Recruitment is seeking a reliable Class 2 Driver for ad-hoc cover starting next week in the Aberdeen area. The role involves safe and timely delivery and collection of goods with a focus on customer service and regulatory compliance.

The candidate must hold a valid UK Class 2 licence, have good time management, and be able to work independently or as part of a team, including manual handling where required.

Qualifications

• UK Class 2 Licence (C) is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections within allocated timescales.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure deliveries are documented and signed where required.
• Load and unload goods safely using appropriate equipment.
• Comply with Driver Hours and Road Transport regulations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Provide professional customer service.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver for cover for one of our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods while maintaining excellent customer service standards and ensuring compliance with all transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections within allocated timescales.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed for where required.
• Load and unload goods safely, using appropriate equipment when necessary.
• Comply with all Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and Road Transport regulations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers and clients.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Good knowledge of UK driving regulations and road safety requirements.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good level of physical fitness for loading and unloading duties where required.
