Job summary

Manpower UK in Swansea is seeking a Tanker Driver to operate tanker vehicles on UK routes, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and accurate loading/unloading.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip checks, manage tachographs, and deliver reliable service on an ongoing assignment with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

  • Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 entitlement as required for tanker operation.
  • Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
  • Valid digital tachograph card.
  • Experience driving tanker vehicles or similar bulk liquid/chemical logistics work.
  • Strong knowledge of UK road transport legislation, including drivers' hours and tachograph rules.
  • Ability to complete vehicle checks and maintain accurate paperwork with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers and transport team.
  • Commitment to safety including handling hazardous materials where applicable.
  • ADR qualification where required or willingness to obtain/maintain it.
  • Technical competence with vehicle systems and fault reporting.

  • Adhere to health and safety requirements and safe working practices around hazardous materials when applicable.
  • Report incidents, near misses, and accidents immediately per company policy.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and roadworthy, maintaining company standards.
