Job summary

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Class 2 licence, have experience driving commercial vehicles, and excel at route planning, loading/unloading, and customer service. A strong focus on safety and punctuality is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar lorries.
• Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures within the UK.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently.
• Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods safely.
• Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively.
• Valid Class 2 driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Experience in delivery driver roles is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and professionalism on the road

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
• Unload items and ensure they are put in the correct departments.
• You will be a keyholder.
• Plan delivery routes effectively to meet scheduled deadlines.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance or safety issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
• Communicate professionally with clients and dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or issues during transit.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times during operations.
