Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in West Bromwich is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to support our daytime operations. This role delivers aluminium trunking to electrical wholesalers and building sites across the UK, with a typical day involving up to five drops and curtain-side loading.

Start times are between 04:00–06:00, Monday to Friday, with no nights, no weekends and overtime paid after 40 hours. You’ll be safety‑driven, perform vehicle checks and comply with all transport regulations while representing DHL

Qualifications

• Must hold HGV Class 2 licence (Cat C) and Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Curtain-side loading experience advantageous.
• 12 months LGV Cat C driving experience preferred.
• Live locally to West Brom site B70 0EB.

Responsibilities

• Deliver aluminium trunking to electrical wholesalers/building sites across the UK (up to 5 drops per day).
• Operate FLT to unload and secure loads and ensure safety.
• Start times between 04:00–06:00, Monday to Friday; no weekends or nights.
• Drive safely, comply with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive and perform vehicle checks.

LGV Cat C Driver (HGV Class 2) based West Bromwich Pay Rate: £28,019 based on a 40 hour week (£13.47 per hour - overtime paid at £20.20 per hour) Grade: RCS grade P Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Monday to Friday - starts between 04:00 - 06:00 Location: West Bromwich B70 0EB Think you know DHL? • Delivery of aluminium trunking to electrical wholesalers / building sites across the UK - maximum of 5 drops per day
• Deliveries are with an FLT so just opening and closing curtains and securing the load is required
• Start times between 04:00-06:00 Monday to Friday - no weekend working or bank holidays!!
• Day work only NO nights out
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (Cat C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Hours per week up to 45 - overtime paid for hours over 40 per week at time and a half
• Curtain side experience and use of straps to secure a load would be an advantage
• Live locally to site in West Brom B70 0EB
• Ideally have 12 months recent LGV Cat C driving experience due the nature of the delivery points
