Job summary

FTH Hire Group is a leading plant and tool hire company in the UK, seeking a Class 2 driver to deliver equipment to customers and sites. You will drive 16T or 26T lorries, ensuring safe transport and compliance with road safety regulations. A positive team player attitude is essential.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 4:30pm with no weekends. Benefits include bonus schemes, pension auto-enrolment, life assurance, 32 days holiday, Perk Box and a Birthday Gift.

Qualifications

• CAT C license (or above) must be current.
• Driver qualification card (DCPC) required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Good geographical knowledge of home counties area.
• Solid understanding of tachograph legalisation.
• Must be fit and active to load/unload machinery from the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Drive 16T or 26T lorries to customer sites and depots.
• Ensure safe transportation of plant equipment and compliance with road safety laws.
• Assist with loading and unloading machinery as needed.

Job description

FTH Hire Group is one of the largest and fastest growing independent plant and tool hire companies in the UK, with nineteen depots across the South of England, Wales and Scotland. As a result of our ambitious growth plans, we are looking to add additional high calibre people to our growing business.

The main purpose of this role will be driving one of our 16T or 26T lorries, delivering plant equipment to our customers and construction sites. You will ensure safe transportation of goods to and from various destinations efficiently whilst adhering to all legal requirements of Road Safety.

Knowledge, skills and experience required for our Class 2 Driver

• Must hold a current CAT C license or above
• Driver qualification card required (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Should have good geographical knowledge of the home counties area
• Good understanding of tachograph legalisation
• Must be fit and active as you will be loading and unloading machinery from the vehicle.
