Job summary

FTH Hire Group is seeking a Class 2 Driver to operate our 26T lorries, delivering plant equipment to customers and construction sites across our area. You will ensure safe transport, comply with road safety rules, assist with loading and unloading, and support colleagues as part of a small team.

Requirements include a current CAT C license or above, DCPC, Digital Tachograph Card, good geographical knowledge of the home counties, and fitness for the physical tasks.

Qualifications

• Hold a current CAT C license or above.
• Driver qualification card required (DCPC).
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good geographical knowledge of the home counties area.
• Good understanding of tachograph legalisation.
• Must be fit and active as you will be loading and unloading machinery from the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 26T lorry delivering plant equipment to customers and construction sites.
• Ensure safe transportation of goods in compliance with road safety regulations.
• Load and unload machinery from the vehicle as required.
• Work effectively as part of a small team to deliver excellent service.

The main purpose of this role will be driving one of our 26T lorries, delivering plant equipment to our customers and construction sites. You will ensure safe transportation of goods to and from various destinations efficiently whilst adhering to all legal requirements of Road Safety.
Knowledge, skills and experience required for our Class 2 Driver:

• Must hold a current CAT C license or above
• Driver qualification card required (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Should have good geographical knowledge of the home counties area
• Good understanding of tachograph legalisation
• Must be fit and active as you will be loading and unloading machinery from the vehicle.
