Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting experienced Class 2 (HGV2) drivers for ongoing weekday work in Felling. You will drive a Class 2 vehicle to deliver and collect fridges, working with a driver\'s mate to assist with loading and unloading.

Starting ASAP, this role offers Monday to Friday day shifts, with accurate recording of deliveries via paperwork or handheld devices and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 2 licence (C) and CPC/Digital Tachograph Card.
• Proven experience in professional HGV driving with multi-drop deliveries.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and capable of working with a driver's mate.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 vehicle for multi-drop collections and deliveries.

The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (HGV2) Drivers for our client based in Felling.

This is a great opportunity for professional drivers looking for ongoing weekday work involving multi-drop collections and deliveries of fridges. A driver's mate is provided, meaning you will have assistance with the loading, unloading and delivery of goods.

The role offers ongoing work for reliable and professional drivers and is available to start ASAP.

The Role

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle to complete multi-drop collections and deliveries
• Delivering and collecting fridges from customers across the region
• Working alongside a driver's mate, who will assist with deliveries and handling
• Ensuring goods are safely loaded, secured and delivered without damage
• Completing multiple collections and deliveries throughout the day
• Using delivery paperwork and/or handheld technology to accurately record deliveries
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining high safety standards
• Communicating effectively with the transport team and customers
• Providing a professional and courteous service at each delivery point
• Working efficiently to complete planned routes and meet delivery schedules

The Candidate

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Hold a valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Have a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Have previous professional HGV driving experience
• Have experience with multi-drop deliveries (preferred)
• Be comfortable with the physical aspects of delivering and collecting fridges
• Be reliable, professional and safety-conscious
• Have good communication and customer service skills
• Be able to work effectively alongside a driver's mate
• Have a flexible and positive approach to the working day

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday
• Day shifts
• Start and finish times will vary depending on the route and workload
• Ongoing work available

Pay

• £14.00 per hour
