Job summary

EV Cargo in Erith is seeking a Class 1 Trunk Driver for night shifts to deliver goods safely and efficiently. You will operate a Class 1 vehicle, perform daily checks, and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately while maintaining customer service.

The ideal candidate holds a Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC, and digital tachograph card with at least 6 months of driving experience. We offer a competitive package, pension, health plan and generous annual leave.

Responsibilities

Class 1 Trunk Driver - Nights | Full time | Erith

THE ROLE

Our drivers are one of the most important roles within Palletforce Logistics, and as a fully qualified Class 1 Driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.

THE SALARY

£44100 per year plus a £50 weekly drivers bonus

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle;

• Driving Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly;
• Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use;
• Ensure you inform the transport office of any problems in good time i.e. if you’re running late;
• Fit to drive; considering alcohol intake, daily rest, prescribed/over the counter medication that could affect your ability to drive;
• To ensure you arrive at your job on time;
• Excellent customer service;
• Maintain health and safety standards;
• Operating in a safe way, following all road rules;
• Ensure all paperwork is correct, completed and returned to the transport office;
• Delivering goods to various locations.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Minimum experience: 6 months;
• Valid Digital Tachograph card is essential;
• Completed CPC training course;
• Class 1 Driving License (C+E);
• Valid CPC,Digital tacho cards;
• Flexibility;
• Strong logistical and geographical knowledge;
• Good communication skills;
• Ability to be adaptable and flexible with start & finish times;
• Fully completed driver CPC;
• HGV / LGV Class 1 licence with at least 6 months experience;
• Good work Ethic.
