Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a reliable Class 2 HGV Driver for positions in East London. The role involves delivering and collecting plant machinery and powered access equipment across the local area.

You will safely load/unload and transport equipment, maintain records, and provide excellent customer service. Opportunities include overtime, bonus, and a structured training programme, including IPAF operator training.

Formación

• Valid Class 2 HGV driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries and collections.
• Friendly, professional, customer-focused approach.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence with customers.
• Good timekeeping and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safe working practices.
• CSCS card advantageous but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver and collect plant machinery and powered access equipment from customer sites in the local area.
• Safely load, unload and transport equipment following procedures and health and safety rules.
• Provide excellent customer service when visiting sites and interacting with clients.
• Ensure deliveries and collections are completed efficiently within agreed timeframes.
• Carry out vehicle/load safety checks and maintain equipment securely.
• Keep accurate delivery/collection records and manage workload independently.
• Complete required training including IPAF operator and load/unload training.

About the Company

My client is an established UK-wide provider of plant machinery and powered access equipment for hire, operating from multiple depots across the country.

Due to continued demand, they are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Class 2 HGV Driver to join their team in East London. The role involves delivering and collecting hire equipment from customer sites across the local area, ensuring machinery is transported safely, efficiently and professionally.

The Role

• Deliver and collect plant machinery and powered access equipment from customer sites across the local area.
• Safely load, unload and transport equipment in line with company procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service when attending customer sites and interacting with clients.
• Ensure deliveries and collections are completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
• Carry out vehicle and load safety checks, ensuring equipment is transported securely.
• Maintain accurate delivery and collection records.
• Manage your workload effectively, demonstrating good timekeeping and the ability to work independently.
• Complete all required training, including approved IPAF operator and load/unload training.

What You’ll Need

• A valid Class 2 HGV driving licence.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Previous experience in multi-drop deliveries and collections.
• A friendly, professional and customer-focused approach.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with customers.
• Good timekeeping, organisational skills and the ability to use your initiative.
• A strong commitment to safe working practices.A CSCS card would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Previous experience loading and unloading plant machinery or powered access equipment would also be beneficial, although full training will be provided.
