Job summary

Rapid Recruit are recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for a client based in Bacup. You will operate as part of a small, supportive team delivering domestic and commercial waste across local areas.

The role runs Tuesday to Friday, 6:45am to 4:15pm, with ad hoc shifts possible. The pay is £14.13 per hour. Successful applicants will hold a valid Class 2 licence, CPC and tachograph card, with a flexible, outdoors role requiring resilience in all weather.

Qualifications

Valid Class 2 licence, CPC card and tachograph card required.
Experience preferred but not essential; new drivers welcome.
Availability at short notice and for standby cover.
Able to work outdoors in all weather and be flexible.

Responsibilities

Safely operate Class 2 collection vehicles on designated routes.
Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
Collect household, recycling and commercial waste efficiently.
Adhere to health & safety procedures, using PPE at all times.
Work closely with loaders and stay alert to hazards.
Complete required paperwork and comply with driving regulations.
