Class 2 Driver – Local Waste & Recycling Routes

Job summary

Rapid Recruit are recruiting on behalf of a client in Bacup for a HGV Class 2 Driver. You will work as part of a small, supportive team, collecting domestic and commercial waste on local routes.

Hours are Tue-Fri 6:45am–4:15pm (may be ad hoc). Must hold Class 2 licence, CPC card and tachograph card; prior driving experience is preferred but not essential. Outdoor work in all weather conditions and flexibility to assist as a loader when required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 licence (essential).
• CPC card and tachograph card required (essential).
• Experience preferred but not essential for new drivers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 collection vehicles on designated routes.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Collect household, recycling and commercial waste efficiently.
• Adhere to health & safety procedures, using PPE at all times.
• Work with loaders and stay alert to hazards on roads.
• Complete required paperwork and comply with driving regulations.
