Job summary

Flexistaff Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver for a client in Dunstable. This role focuses on trunking night deliveries with the potential to secure a permanent position directly with the client.

You will operate night shifts, maintain vehicle safety checks, and comply with tachograph and drivers' hours regulations while delivering reliably and on time.

Qualifications

• 2 years of HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• ADR qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Previous trunking experience is desirable.
• Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and comfortable working night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Class 1 trunking deliveries during night shifts.
• Transporting goods safely and efficiently between designated locations.
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed on schedule.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Completing relevant delivery paperwork and transport documentation.
• Complying with drivers' hours, tachograph regulations and road safety legislation.
• Maintaining a professional and responsible approach at all times.
