Flexistaff Recruitment is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for our client based in Dunstable. The role focuses on trunking during night shifts, with long-distance routes and depot-to-depot deliveries.

Offering a temp-to-perm path, you will work night shifts starting between 17:00 and 19:00 with consistent, ongoing work and support from our recruitment team.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 driving experience required.
• Night shift work experience preferred.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Knowledge of tachograph regulations.
• Understanding of UK road transport rules.
• Reliable and punctual with night shifts.
• ADR qualification advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

Flexistaff Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for our client based in Dunstable.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional and reliable drivers looking for consistent night shift work, with the potential to secure a permanent position directly with the company.

The role involves trunking operations, making it ideal for drivers who prefer long-distance or depot-to-depot deliveries rather than multi-drop work.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out Class 1 trunking deliveries during night shifts.
• Transporting goods safely and efficiently between designated locations.
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed on schedule.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Completing relevant delivery paperwork and transport documentation.
• Complying with drivers' hours, tachograph regulations and road safety legislation.
• Maintaining a professional and responsible approach at all times.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• ADR qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Previous trunking experience is desirable.
• Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and comfortable working night shifts.
