Gregory Distribution Ltd in Hereford is seeking a Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our UK operations. You will be delivering goods across the UK on a curtain-sided trailer, ensuring load security and completing paperwork with a handheld PDA.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver goods throughout the UK on a curtain-sided trailer.
• Ensure load security with ratchet straps and handle loads safely.
• Use a handheld PDA to complete paperwork efficiently.
• Maintain contact with the transport team and report progress.
• Occasional nights away in the schedule.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay compliant.

About The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

• Take on the challenge of collecting and delivering customers' products throughout the UK on a curtain-sided trailer.
• Master the art of load security with ratchet straps and part manual handling, ensuring every delivery is safe and secure.
• Leverage a handheld PDA to complete paperwork seamlessly and efficiently.
• Keep in constant contact with the transport team, offering updates on your progress and ensuring our customers' expectations are consistently met.
• Experience the thrill of nights away, making each journey unique and fulfilling.
• Engage in regular training sessions to stay updated with the latest industry standards and best practices, continuously improving your skills.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
