Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver based in Coalville. You’ll be away from the depot most weeks, carrying a variety of load types and trunking between depots.

You will perform long distance and multi-drop deliveries, operate curtain sided and refrigerated trailers, ensure loads are secure, and meet customer delivery requirements while complying with road safety and company standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK Class 1 Licence.
• DCPC Card and Tachograph Card required.
• Experience delivering loads to client sites is advantageous.
• Strong customer service mindset.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• As Class 1 Driver, away from depot all week transporting loads.
• Long distance and trunking, multi‑drop deliveries, curtain sided trailers.
• Provide transport services for multiple depot‑based customers and meet handling/delivery requirements.
• Operate curtain sided and refrigerated vehicles with secure loading and temperature control.

where needed. Complete thorough daily vehicle checks using the company mobile device and report any defects promptly. Stay in regular contact with the transport team to give progress updates, highlight delays or issues, and support effective customer service. Essential Skills and Qualifications Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence. Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card. Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous. Passionate about providing excellent customer service. Ability to work to deadlines. Confident, polite, and a team player. Good geographical knowledge. Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
