Job summary

Gregory Distribution in the United Kingdom is seeking a driver to carry out collections and deliveries of liquid sludge across the region. You will navigate predominantly rural routes and plan daily to stay efficient and timely, with training provided.

You will work with the transport team to provide updates and deliver a professional service to customers both face-to-face and over the phone. A UK Class 1 Licence, DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card are required, with full training for wastewater

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 Licence is mandatory.
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Experience with vacuum tankers or wastewater is beneficial, training provided.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Customer service focused and professional in interactions.

Job description

• Carry out collections and deliveries of liquid sludge throughout the region.
• Navigate a high proportion of rural routes due to the nature of collection locations.
• Plan your routes daily to ensure efficiency and timeliness.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team to provide progress updates and support excellent customer service.
• Interact with customers both face-to-face and over the phone, delivering a professional and positive service experience.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
  A valid UK Class 1 Licence.
• A current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience with vacuum tankers or wastewater (beneficial, but full training will be provided).
• Strong organisational skills and confidence working to deadlines.
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• A confident, polite manner and a strong team spirit.
• Good geographical knowledge of the local area.
• A hardworking, self-motivated attitude suited to the demands of the role.

  Competitive Salary: £37,789 - £40,519 per annum, depending on hours worked. Plus you will receive an enhanced rate for working Saturdays.
• Shift Hours: Monday to Friday, start time between 16:00hrs and 18:00hrs, including 1 in 3 Saturdays.
