Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a Class 1 Driver to join its UK-wide logistics operations. You will be responsible for the collection and delivery of liquid sludge, navigating rural routes and planning daily schedules to meet deadlines.

You will engage with customers face-to-face and by phone, ensuring professional service and timely updates to the transport team. The role emphasises training and development, with ongoing DCPC training and monthly courses, plus a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• A valid UK Class 1 Licence.
• A current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience with vacuum tankers or wastewater is beneficial, but full training will be provided.
• Strong organisational skills and confidence working to deadlines.
• A confident, polite manner and a strong team spirit.
• Good geographical knowledge of the local area.
• A hardworking, self-motivated attitude suited to the demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out collections and deliveries of liquid sludge throughout the region.
• Navigate a high proportion of rural routes due to the nature of collection locations.
• Plan your routes daily to ensure efficiency and timeliness.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team to provide progress updates and support excellent customer service.
• Interact with customers both face-to-face and over the phone, delivering a professional and positive service experience.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
