Job summary

Driver Hire Bury St Edmunds in Thetford is recruiting for Class 1 or 2 drivers to join our client ASAP. This temporary-to-permanent role offers a clear pay progression and the support of the experienced Driver Hire team.

Expect early starts (3am–5am), approx 9–10 hour shifts, and deliveries of roll cages to stores across the East of England (no London work). A full UK manual licence, Category C/CE entitlement, CPC and Digicard are required, along with clean penalty points and no endorsements.

Qualifications

• Have no more than 6 penalty points.
• No DG, DD or IN endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Drive a modern fleet of HGVs delivering roll cages to stores.

• Deliveries across East of England; no London work.

Pay rate: £14.50 - £23.76

We are looking for Class 1 or 2 Driver to start ASAP for our client based in Thetford, with all the support from our experienced Driver Hire team.

The successful Class 1 or 2 Driver will receive:

• Class 1
• £15.50 basic | £18.50 overtime & Saturday
• After 12 weeks rises to:
• £18.28 | £23.76
• Class 2
• £14.50 basic | £17 overtime & Saturday
• After 12 weeks rises to:
• £16.78 | £22.32

What to expect as a Class 1 or 2 Driver:

Working Monday to Friday and every other Saturday you will be driving a modern fleet of HGV's delivering roll cages to stores.

This role is for early birds! Start times range from 3am - 5am and your shift will typically be 9-10hrs long.

Delivery locations are East of England. No London work.

As a Class 1 or 2 Driver you must:

• Full UK manual licence
• Category C or CE entitlement
• Valid CPC & Digicard.
• Have no more than 6 effective penalty points.
• No DG, DD or IN endorsements.
