Job summary

Driver Hire Bury St Edmunds is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver for immediate start in the Bury St Edmunds area. The role involves delivering paper products across the East of England and Midlands, with morning warehouse loading and early start times.

The position offers a permanent progression from temporary to permanent, a 34-hour week potential, and a focus on reliability and safe driving practices. Applicants should have a Cat C entitlement and CPC Tachograph.

Qualifications

• Valid UK manual licence with Cat C entitlement is required.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph competence is essential.
• Do not have more than 6 penalty points.
• No DG, DD or IN endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 HGV box vehicle delivering paper products across the East of England and the Midlands.
• Spend time in the warehouse in the morning self-loading before starting deliveries.
• Typically start around 5am for an 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday.

Class 2 HGV Driver

Pay rate: £30,000 per annum

Contract: Type: Temporary to Permanent

Location: Bury St Edmunds

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for Class 2 HGV Driver to start ASAP for our client based in Bury St Edmunds, with all the support from our experienced Driver Hire team.

The successful Class 2 HGV Driver will receive:

• £30,000 per annum.
• Guaranteed 8hrs per day.
• 28 days holiday prorated on PAYE.
• Upskilling to HGV, ADR and HIAB after satisfactory probation period.

What to expect as a Class 2 HGV Driver:

You will be driving a Class 2 HGV box vehicle delivering paper products across the East of England and the Midlands.

You will be required to spend a little time in the warehouse in the morning self-loading before starting on deliveries.

Start times are normally 5am and 8hrs long.

Monday to Friday. Job 'n knock. No London deliveries.

As a Class 2 HGV Driver you must:

• Full UK Manual Licence with Cat C Entitlement
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachocard.
• Have no more than 6 effective penalty points.
• No DG, DD or IN endorsements.

This position is commutable from Stowmarket, Ipswich, Thetford, Diss and other areas nearby to Bury St Edmunds.
