Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is recruiting HGV Class 1 Night Drivers for Doncaster, South Yorkshire. The role is a full-time temp-to-perm position with pay at £18.50 per hour for Mon-Fri; Saturdays at 1.5x, Sundays at 2x, with shifts between 15:00 and 23:00.

Work includes collecting meat products from UK customers and delivering to production facilities in Nottingham or Doncaster. Applicants must hold a HGV Class 1 licence, a Digital tachograph card, and a full UK CPC, with no more than 6 points.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Licence required.
• Digital tachograph card required.
• Full UK CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) required.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.

Job Description

We are looking to recruit HGV Class 1 Night Drivers – Doncaster, South Yorkshire – Temp to Perm.

Our client is one of the largest suppliers of protein ingredients to the European pet food and aquaculture sectors. Using category 3 ABP materials from the meat and poultry sectors who are now looking to add additional HGV Class 1 Drivers to their team. As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the collection of meat products from customers throughout the UK before taking them to the production facility in either Nottingham or Doncaster. Drivers will not have to handle any part of the product as self-tipping trailers will be used or you will have to carry out a trailer swap.

All drivers will be expected to carry out vehicle checks prior to deliveries and complete all paperwork in line with company guidelines.

Duration: This is a full time temp to perm position

Contract Type: Permanent

Hourly Rate: Pay for this role is £18.50 per hour Monday to Friday, Saturdays are paid at time and a half with Sundays being paid at double time

Working Hours: Various shift patterns available including weekends with start times being between 1500 and 2300 each day
