Job summary

Qube Recruitment is seeking an experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Night Driver to join our client in Doncaster on a temp-to-perm basis. You will deliver goods to Tesco stores, encompassing safe, timely operations and professional customer service.

The role requires a valid Class 1 licence, CPC and tachograph card, store-delivery experience, and a reliable, punctual approach. Night shifts offer competitive pay of £18.95–£23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Comfortable with store deliveries and handling cages or roll containers.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and road safety regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 vehicle to deliver goods to Tesco stores.

We are recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers to join a reputable and well known client of ours in Doncaster. This role involves delivering goods to supermarket stores, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 1 vehicle to deliver goods to stores.


• Completing store deliveries in line with planned routes and delivery schedules.


• Handling cages and roll containers.


• Safely manoeuvring the vehicle in store delivery areas and loading bays.


• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects.


• Completing delivery paperwork and following all delivery procedures.


• Maintaining regular communication with the transport team regarding delays or issues.


• Following drivers' hours regulations, road traffic laws and company health and safety procedures.


• Providing a professional and courteous service when delivering to Tesco stores.


• Ensuring goods are transported securely and handled with care.
