Job summary

Driver Hire Bedford & Huntingdon is recruiting for a long-standing, family-orientated construction client to drive HGV Class 1 with HIAB, delivering units to sites across the region. You will join a small team and work Monday to Friday, with no nights away.

The role involves operating the HIAB crane, loading/unloading at sites, and developing a long-term career with one employer. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity in a local area.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence with C+E entitlement and valid CPC/Tacho card.
• CPC and Tacho card are required.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

HGV Class 1 HIAB Driver - Unlimited Ticket Required*

Family-Run Construction Business | Bedford & Caxton | Mon-Fri | 7:30am Start | £20/hr (with Holiday Pay)

Driver Hire Bedford & Huntingdon is recruiting for a long-standing, family-orientated construction client who is looking for a driver with a Class 1 Unlimited HIAB licence.

The Role

You'll be delivering temporary accommodation units to construction sites across the region for a well-established, family-run construction business. The work is varied, regional (no nights away), and team-based:

• Driving the HGV to site, working as part of a convoy - never on your own, always with backup
• Operating the lorry-mounted HIAB crane to load and unload units on site
• Working alongside a small, friendly team of drivers and site staff
• A real opportunity to learn, progress, and build a long-term career with one employer

Pay & Benefits

What We Need From You

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) - full UK manual
• Valid CPC and Tacho card

• Comfortable with manual handling alongside crane-assisted lifting
• Class 1 Unlimited HIAB ticket
• A genuine interest in building a long-term career with one employer

• Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm
• Pay: £20/hr (incl. holiday pay) - temp-to-perm
