Job summary

Driver Hire Manchester South in South Manchester is seeking a motivated Class 2 HIAB Driver to deliver to business and residential customers across the North West. The role includes loading, securing and delivering with a HIAB-equipped lorry.

The position offers a full-time pattern Monday to Friday with an expected minimum 40 hours per week and weekly pay. A valid Cat C licence, HIAB and CPC/tachograph credentials are required, with a strong safety record and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving licence held for a minimum of 1 year.
• Cat C Licence (Class 2) held.
• HIAB Certificate - Class 2 HIAB Driver.

Responsibilities

• Secure loads and manage height restrictions and legal limits.
• 5-6 drops per day using HIAB Lorry Loader.
• Drive safely and obey traffic laws.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and ensure compliance.
• Maintain regular contact with Branch Managers on progress.
• Complete paperwork accurately as instructed.

Job description

Role: Class 2 HIAB Driver

Salary: £19.05 per hour Weekly Pay (£17.00ph with accrued holiday pay)

Location: South Manchester

Work Pattern: Full time, Monday - Friday (expected minimum 40 hours per week)

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic HGV 2 Class 2 HIAB Driver for a large well know timber merchant to deliver to business and residential customers in and around the north west.

Class 2 HIAB Driver responsibilities

• Securing loads, understanding height restrictions and legal height limits
• 5-6 drops per day, using HIAB Lorry Loader
• Driving vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
• Daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
• Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress
• Completing paperwork accurately as instructed

Class 2 HIAB Driver requirements

• Experienced HIAB Operator Certificate with REMOTE
• Cat C Licence (Category C - Class 2)
• HIAB Certificate - Class 2 HIAB Driver
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's)
• Full UK Driving licence, held for minimum 1 year
• Able to work to tight deadlines
