Job summary

Freeway Recruitment is seeking a Class 2 HIAB Driver for an ongoing contract with potential for permanent employment. You will operate 18-tonne and/or 26-tonne HIAB vehicles, delivering bricks, blocks and building materials to domestic and commercial sites.

Applicants must hold a valid LGV C Class 2 license for 2+ years, with remote-access HIAB and brick grab experience, plus ALLMI C5+E accreditation. Rotation pattern; immediate starts available.

Qualifications

• Full valid LGV C Class 2 license held for at least 2 years.
• Experience operating 26-tonne HIAB and brick grab.
• Remote-access HIAB experience with brick grab.
• ALLMI HIAB Brick Grab and Remote Access accreditation must be held.

Responsibilities

• Operate 18t and/or 26t HIAB vehicles delivering bricks, blocks and aggregates to sites.
• Adhere to delivery procedures and safe vehicle operation.
• Work with a rotating Monday to Saturday shift pattern and aim for on-time deliveries.

Freeway Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Class 2 HIAB Drivers to work on an ongoing contract with one of our established clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and experienced drivers, with the potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be operating 18-tonne and/or 26-tonne HIAB vehicles, making deliveries to a variety of locations including domestic building sites and larger commercial construction sites.

Typical deliveries will include:

• Bricks and blocks
• Building aggregates
• Plasterboard and building boards
• Other construction materials

The role involves operating a remote-access HIAB with brick grab, so previous experience and the appropriate accreditation are essential.

Hours

• Rotating Monday to Friday / Monday to Saturday shift pattern
• Typical start time: 07:00am
• Typical finish: approximately 4:00pm, although finish times may vary depending on deliveries and workload
• Ongoing work available
• Potential temp-to-perm opportunity
• Immediate starts available

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A full and valid Class 2 (LGV C) driving licence held for at least 2 years
• Proven experience operating 26-tonne HIAB vehicles
• Experience using a remote-access HIAB and brick grab
• Valid ALLMI HIAB Brick Grab and Remote Access accreditation MUST HAVE ALLMI C5+E Category
• No more than 6 penalty points
• No DR, DD, IN or CD endorsements
• A reliable and professional approach to work
• Good knowledge of safe vehicle operation and delivery procedures
