Job summary

Red Cat Recruitment is seeking a dependable HGV driver in Ellesmere Port to deliver timber and building materials. The role includes operating a HIAB crane, performing daily vehicle checks, and assisting the transport and yard teams to complete deliveries efficiently.

Salary is paid weekly, with a temporary contract that may lead to permanent positions; full training is provided for HIAB if needed. Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (C) licence.
• CPC qualification and Digi Tacho card.
• Newer passes considered.
• No more than 6 points.
• Good knowledge of UK roads and driving regulations.
• HIAB experience or training available.

Responsibilities

• Delivering timber and building materials to trade and retail customers.
• Operating a HIAB crane safely and efficiently (training provided if required).
• Providing excellent customer service on site and at point of delivery.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining high standards.
• Working alongside transport and yard teams to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, average 6:30am to 4:00pm/ 07:30 - 5:00pm
• Alternate Saturdays available, 7:30am to 11:30am
