Job summary

Randstad CPE is currently seeking an experienced HIAB HGV Driver (Class 2) for immediate start in Sittingbourne, delivering construction materials across Kent. This is a short-term contract through November 2026 with daily work and strong weekly earnings for an established crane operator.

Ideal candidates hold a Class 2 licence with limited penalty points, HIAB qualification, and relevant site qualifications. Weekdays, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with CIS/Umbrella/PAYE pay options are available.

• HGV Class 2 licence with ≤6 penalty points.
• HIAB qualification (ALLMI/RTITB/CPCS) required.
• Valid CPCS/CSCS/ALLMI cards held.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a Class 2 HGV with HIAB crane to transport materials.
• Carry out pre-shift safety checks and log tachograph hours.
• Deliver to site drop-offs and coordinate with site managers.
• Follow FORS standards and site health and safety rules.

Job Title: HIAB HGV Driver (Class 2 / Cat C)

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent (ME10)

Start Date: Immediate (Monday, 21st September 2026)

Contract Duration: Short-Term Cover through November 2026 (End date TBC)

Pay Rate: £20.00 - £23.00 per hour (dependent on pay type)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HIAB HGV Driver (Class 2) for an immediate start today, Monday 21st September 2026, delivering construction materials directly to sites across Sittingbourne and the wider Kent area.

This contract runs through to November 2026, offering consistent daily work and strong weekly earnings for an experienced crane operator.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operating a Class 2 HGV equipped with a vehicle-mounted crane (HIAB) to transport and offload building materials.
• Performing pre-shift vehicle and crane safety inspections, logging tachograph hours, and ensuring loads are fully secured using straps and chains.
• Navigating tight residential roads, commercial access routes, and active construction sites safely.
• Offloading materials directly to designated site drop points, coordinating with site managers and gatemen.
• Adhering strictly to FORS standards, tachograph laws, and site health & safety regulations.

Requirements

• HGV Category C (Class 2) Licence with no more than 6 penalty points (no IN10 or DR10 endorsements).
• Valid HIAB Qualification (ALLMI, RTITB, or CPCS accredited).
• Valid Driver CPC Card & Digital Tachograph Card.
• CSCS / CPCS / ALLMI Card for construction site drop-offs.
• Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience operating HIAB cranes on active delivery routes.
• Full PPE (Steel toe boots, high-vis jacket, hard hat, gloves).
• Right to work in the UK.

Working Hours & Benefits

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40-48 hours per week).
• Start Date: Monday, 21st September 2026.
• Duration: Work running through November 2026.
• Weekly pay via CIS, Umbrella, or PAYE options.
