Job summary

Kingston Barnes Ltd is recruiting Class 1 HGV drivers for night shifts in Tewkesbury. The role offers 48 hours per week, night work, Sunday-Sunday rota, multi-drop deliveries, and a temp-to-perm path at the Cheltenham depot.

Salary is £42,646.97 plus a £20 weekly safety bonus, with weekly pay and full training provided. Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply for this family-owned dairy company.

Qualifications

• Category CE or above with minimal penalty points.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Comfortable with night shifts and multi-drop deliveries.
• Physically fit for loading/unloading.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent time management and organisation.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, reliable and proactive attitude.
• We cannot accept DR10 endorsements on licence.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the HGV1 vehicle in line with all driving and tachograph regulations.
• Complete local deliveries and collections safely and on time.
• Load and unload goods using appropriate handling equipment.
• Check orders are accurate and secure before leaving the depot.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects, accidents or incidents.
• Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
• Follow all health & safety, food hygiene and security procedures.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment cleanliness.
• Complete delivery records, payments and customer information accurately.

Kingston Barnes are currently recruiting Class 1 HGV Drivers to join a well-established, family-owned dairy company based in Tewkesbury.

This is a great opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified Class 1 drivers, with full training and development available.

The Role:

• £42,646.97 salary + £20 weekly driving safety bonus

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Complete local deliveries and collections safely and on time

• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects, accidents or incidents
• Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally

• Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment
• Complete delivery records, payments and customer information accurately
• Collect returned goods and empty packaging where required
• Provide holiday and sickness cover when needed
