Job summary

DFDS is seeking a reliable Class 1 HGV night driver to deliver frozen goods across the UK. You will operate modern, temperature-controlled trucks, ensuring on-time and safe deliveries.

Training is provided if you are new to fridge trailers, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service is required. You will perform pre- and post-shift vehicle checks, manage delivery paperwork, and collaborate with planners to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC and a DIGI card are required.
• Experience with fridge trailers is beneficial, but full training is provided.
• A positive attitude, safety focus and strong customer service are essential.

About The Role

We’re looking for reliable and professional Class 1 HGV night driver to join our team delivering frozen goods across the UK. You’ll be out on the road in modern, well-equipped trucks, making sure deliveries get where they need to be, safely and on time.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Collect and deliver frozen products using temperature-controlled trailers
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Keep delivery paperwork tidy and accurate
• Work closely with our planners to keep things running smoothly
• Use onboard tech to monitor temperatures and routes
• Help out with loading/unloading when needed

About You

You’ll need a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC, and a DIGI card. Experience with fridge trailers is great, but if you’re new to it, don’t worry, we’ll give you all the training you need. What really matters is a positive attitude, a focus on safety, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service every time.
