Job summary

DFDS A/S is seeking an experienced Class 1 HGV night driver to deliver frozen goods across the UK. You will operate modern trucks, perform pre- and post-shift checks, and ensure accurate paperwork while coordinating with planners to maintain on-time deliveries.

Training is provided for those new to fridge trailers. A positive attitude, safety focus and excellent customer service are valued as we move goods across Europe and beyond.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC and a DIGI card are required.
• Experience with fridge trailers is beneficial, but full training is provided.
• A positive attitude, focus on safety and commitment to customer service are essential.

About the role

We’re looking for reliable and professional Class 1 HGV night driver to join our team delivering frozen goods across the UK. You’ll be out on the road in modern, well-equipped trucks, making sure deliveries get where they need to be, safely and on time.

You will be responsible for:

• Collect and deliver frozen products using temperature-controlled trailers
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Keep delivery paperwork tidy and accurate
• Work closely with our planners to keep things running smoothly
• Use onboard tech to monitor temperatures and routes
• Help out with loading/unloading when needed

About you

You’ll need a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC, and a DIGI card. Experience with fridge trailers is great, but if you’re new to it, don’t worry, we’ll give you all the training you need. What really matters is a positive attitude, a focus on safety, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service every time.
