Job summary

Driver Hire Blackburn are recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for ongoing work delivering building products and construction materials to builders' merchants across Lancashire.

As a Class 1 driver, you will handle multi-drop deliveries, secure loads, complete checks and paperwork, and provide professional customer service while working to regulatory transport rules.

Weekly pay is available and you will be supported by an established national logistics operation from Driver Hire Blackburn.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (Cat C+E) HGV licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Experience delivering building products, construction materials or similar loads is desirable.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.
• A professional and reliable approach.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 HGV to deliver building products and construction materials.
• Deliveries to builders' merchants and trade sites with multi-drop routes.

Driver Hire Blackburn are recruiting experienced Class 1 (Cat C+E) HGV Drivers for ongoing work delivering building products and construction materials to builders' merchants.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 driver looking for regular work with a well-established national logistics operation.

The Role

As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of building products to builders' merchants and trade customers.

Typical duties will include:

• Driving a Class 1 HGV
• Delivering building products and construction materials
• Deliveries to builders' merchants and trade sites
• Securing and checking loads before leaving site
• Completing vehicle and delivery checks
• Following delivery instructions and site procedures
• Completing delivery paperwork and digital records
• Providing professional customer service at delivery points
• Working safely at all times and complying with relevant transport legislation

The role involves multi-drop deliveries, so previous experience of delivering to commercial and trade customers would be advantageous.
