Job summary

Driver Hire Blackburn are recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for ongoing work delivering building products and construction materials to builders' merchants across Lancashire.

As a Class 1 driver, you will handle multi-drop deliveries, secure loads, complete checks and paperwork, and provide professional customer service while working to regulatory transport rules.

Weekly pay is available and you will be supported by an established national logistics operation from Driver Hire Blackburn.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (Cat C+E) HGV licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Experience delivering building products, construction materials or similar loads is desirable.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.
• A professional and reliable approach.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 HGV to deliver building products and construction materials.
• Deliveries to builders' merchants and trade sites with multi-drop routes.
• Secure and check loads before leaving site and complete vehicle checks.
• Complete delivery paperwork and digital records as required.
• Follow delivery instructions and site procedures accurately.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery points.
• Work safely at all times and comply with transport legislation.
