Job summary

GBA Logistics is seeking a Class 1 Driver to join our Dedicated Fleet, delivering nationwide across the UK. This on-site role in Warrington involves daily vehicle checks, secure loading, and compliant, professional driving in line with tachograph rules.

The position offers £46,000 annual salary, a new fleet, holiday loyalty scheme, company healthcare, and a supportive team. Start times between 2am-3am or 3pm-5pm, with regular UK-wide travel.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a solid understanding of tachograph rules and working time directive.
• Valid CPC and digital tachograph card are required.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
• Ensure safe and secure loading using proper load restraint procedures.
• Drive safely and professionally, complying with traffic laws and tachograph rules.
• Report any vehicle defects promptly and practice fuel-efficient driving.
• Perform regular inspections for ongoing compliance.
• Deliver high standards of customer service during all interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle at all times.

Key Responsibilities for HGV Class 1 Driver

• Carry out daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
• Ensure safe and secure loading, using proper load restraint procedures.
• Drive safely and professionally, complying with traffic laws, working time regulations, and tachograph rules.
• Practice fuel-efficient driving and report any vehicle defects promptly.
• Perform regular walk-around inspections for ongoing compliance.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service during all interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle at all times.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• A customer friendly manner and a positive can-do attitude
• The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• A solid understanding of tachograph rules and working time directive and valid CPC and digital tachograph card.
• The right to work in the UK
• Valid HGV/LGV licence (category C or C+E preferred) with minimum of 3 months UK Class 1 (LGV C+E) driving experience
• No more than 6 points on your licence
