Job summary

Fox Resourcing & Recruitment is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver (C+E) for our Rushden-based general haulage operation. You will deliver and collect loads across the UK with a strong emphasis on safety and professional conduct.

Responsibilities include vehicle checks, load securing, POD completion, and clear communication with customers and transport planners to ensure timely deliveries. A valid Class 1 licence and reliable work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks and haulage operations.
• Proven experience in general haulage and paperwork accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and professionally.
• Complete general haulage deliveries and collections across the UK.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after shifts.
• Ensure loads are secured correctly and documents are accurate.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery (POD).
• Communicate professionally with customers and transport planners.
• Adhere to drivers' hours, tachograph and road safety regulations.
• Maintain a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
