Job summary

SDC Haualage Ltd is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 drivers to join our growing transport team in the United Kingdom. You will handle deliveries across various routes, including flatbed work, and must keep vehicles and loads secure while maintaining safety and on-time performance.

We value professional conduct, punctuality, and the ability to work independently. A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card are required, with experience in securing loads a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Must hold valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and HGV regulations.
• Flatbed experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and professionally.
• Complete deliveries and collections on various routes.
• Perform flatbed loading and load-securing duties.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and walkaround inspections.
• Report defects promptly and maintain driver records.
• Maintain communications with transport team regarding delays.
• Represent the company professionally with customers and sites.
• Follow drivers’ hours, Working Time, and road safety regulations.
