Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a Class 1 Driver in Hemel Hempstead to operate curtain side trailers, secure loads, and conduct daily vehicle checks. You will stay in touch with the transport team to meet customer expectations and participate in ongoing training to stay ahead of industry standards.

The role offers Monday–Friday shifts, 48 hours per week, with start times around 18:00 and regular overtime. Night shift premiums apply and a range of benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Operate curtain side trailers to transport goods to retail locations.
• Load and secure goods using straps, nets and other devices.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using company systems.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team and customers.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated with industry standards.
