Job summary

The Best Connection Group Ltd in Stoke-on-Trent area is seeking a reliable Class 1 (LGV C+E) driver to transport timber products to various locations. The role includes typically one drop, up to three, with no loading, but you must strap loads securely and ensure roadworthiness.

Day shifts pay £17.69 per hour; CPC/Digi-Card required; max 6 points allowed (no DD/DR). Training may be provided. Duties include deliveries, vehicle inspections, records, and friendly customer service at sites.

Qualifications

• Class 1 (LGV C+E) licence is required.

HGV Driver : LGV Cat C+E (Class 1) Driver The Best Connection Group Ltd are looking for Class 1 Drivers for our client based in the Stoke

• Trent area.

We are seeking reliable and experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our team, specialising in the transportation of timber.

If you have a strong work ethic and excellent driving skills, we want to hear from you!

Work will involve completing store deliveries of timber products in various locations. (Usually 1 drop, can be up to 3) No loading or unloading is required but you will be required to securely strap the load down

• training can be provided.

Pay rates are as follows: Day shifts - £17.69 Days of work for day drivers

• Monday to Friday An assessment is required prior to commencing work.

Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a Class 1 HGV to transport timber products to various locations Perform pre- and post- trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and road worthiness secure timber loads using ratchet straps to prevent movement during transit Comply with all road traffic regulations and company policies Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork Perform routine vehicle management checks and report any issues promptly Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on delivery sites Adhere to delivery schedules while maintaining a high level of safety Benefits : Hourly rate as above (not age dependent) 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rota for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday) Ongoing Assignment Requirements : CPC Driver Qualification Card Digi-Card Required Class 1 (LGVC+E) licence required Max 6 points (No DD/DR) On-going assignment The Best Connection is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
