Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing day shift work with a large logistics operator. This role involves trunking between RDCs and direct NDC deliveries, with no store deliveries and no loading or unloading required.

Starting times vary from 04:00 to 10:00, offering regular hours and a stable pattern. Weekly pay, online payslips, and pension contributions are provided as part of a supported logistics team.

Qualifications

• A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Maximum 6 penalty points.
• Successful completion of a driving assessment.

HGV Class 1 (C+E) Day

Location: Tamworth

Start Times: Between 04:00 and 10:00

Contract: Ongoing temporary work

Pay: £17.45 - £20.08 per hour, depending on the day

The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing day shift work with a major logistics operation operating a fleet of 71 Class 1 vehicles across a 24/7 network.

This is clean, straightforward trunking work involved in RDC and NDC deliveries only. There are no store deliveries and no loading or unloading, making this an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for regular work with minimal manual handling.

The Role

• Ongoing, year-round Class 1 driving work.
• RDC to RDC and NDC deliveries.
• No store deliveries.
• No loading or unloading required.
• Minimal manual handling - primarily opening and closing trailer doors.
• Day shift start times available between 04:00 and 10:00.
• Flexible scheduling where possible to accommodate driver preferences.
• Working as part of a professional and well-established logistics operation.

Pay Rates

• Monday to Friday Days: £17.45 per hour
• Saturday Days: £18.68 per hour
• Sunday Days: £20.08 per hour

Driver Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 month's Class 1 driving experience.
• Maximum 6 penalty points.
• Successful completion of a driving assessment.

The driving assessment is paid upon successful completion.
