Job summary

The Best Connection Group Ltd are seeking reliable Class 1 Drivers for a client in the Stoke-on-Trent area. Earn up to £935 per week with ongoing full-time work and weekly pay.

Role involves store deliveries of timber products, typically 1 drop (up to 3). No loading/unloading; load restraint training provided. Shift is Sunday to Thursday, start 17:00–19:00, pay £19.54 per hour.

Qualifications

• Max 6 points (No DD/DR)

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 1 HGV to transport timber products to various locations
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Secure timber loads using ratchet straps to prevent movement
• Comply with road traffic regulations and company policies
• Maintain delivery paperwork and records
• Report vehicle issues promptly and conduct routine checks
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery sites
• Adhere to delivery schedules with safety as priority

We are seeking reliable and experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our team, specialising in the transportation of timber. If you have a strong work ethic and excellent driving skills, we want to hear from you!

Work will involve completing store deliveries of timber products in various locations. (Usually 1 drop, can be up to 3)

No loading or unloading is required but you will be required to securely strap the load down - training can be provided.

Shift details:

Days of work for day drivers - Sunday to Thursday

Start times: 17:00 - 19:00

Pay rate: £19.54

An assessment is required prior to commencing work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class 1 HGV to transport timber products to various locations
• Perform pre- and post- trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and road worthiness
• secure timber loads using ratchet straps to prevent movement during transit
• Comply with all road traffic regulations and company policies
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Perform routine vehicle management checks and report any issues promptly
