Job summary

Cooper Lomaz Recruitment Services Ltd on behalf of a client seeks an experienced Class 1 Driver to join their transport operation in Newmarket. This permanent, full-time role involves operating a company Class 1 vehicle on multi-drop routes and supporting loading/unloading as required, with a focus on safety and customer service.

The position offers Monday to Friday days, regular salary reviews (£38,000 per annum), overtime at time and a half, and a benefits package including pension, life

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 / C+E licence and CPC.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries.
• Good road safety and tachograph knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 vehicle following road traffic and tachograph rules.
• Perform pre-departure vehicle checks and ensure load safety.
• Follow delivery plan and communicate delays or issues to the office.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries safely and professionally.
• Provide high standard customer service at delivery locations.
• Report accidents, issues or defects to Transport Department.
• Attend training and follow safety and environmental policies.
