Job summary

Manpower UK in Woking is recruiting Class 1 Drivers for ongoing temporary work. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of £22.41–£25.53, with various shifts and regular work across a nationwide logistics operation.

You will operate Class 1 vehicles between depots, perform daily checks, load/unload, and complete paperwork, while meeting schedules and safety standards. A UK C+E licence, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card, and 1 year of HGV experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points; no serious endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
