Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to operate a Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations. The role offers varied shifts, a competitive hourly rate, and the chance to be part of a trusted nationwide operation in the UK.

We are looking for a reliable and professional driver with UK licence, CPC, and Tachograph card, plus HGV experience and strong knowledge of road transport rules. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 1 year previous HGV driving experience in a logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
