Job summary

Gregory Distribution is seeking a Class 1 Casual Driver to deliver alcoholic products across the UK, with flexible, zero-hours shifts. You will ensure loads are secured and complete efficient, on-time deliveries while maintaining high customer service standards.

Role requires a UK HGV Class 1 CE licence, DCPC and a UK Digital Tachograph Card, with weekly and weekend pay rates and ongoing training opportunities.

• Have UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card and good geographical knowledge.
• Provide professional customer service and communicate well with customers.

Responsibilities

• Communicate progress to the transport team and participate in training.

Job Description Class 1 Casual Driver Location : Sandford Shift: Casual / Zero Hours - no guaranteed work or fixed hours Do you have a UK Class 1 CE Licence? If "YES," we want to hear from you! About the Role As a Class 1 Casual Driver, you will: Deliver alcoholic products from our customer sites to RDCs, retail outlets, and warehouse locations across the UK. Complete out-and-back delivery routes, planning journeys efficiently to ensure all deliveries are made on time. Provide a high standard of customer service, communicating professionally with customers both in person and over the phone. Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed. Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability. Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met. Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices. Rota is flexible and offered on a weekly basis, with drivers contacted in advance to confirm availability. This is a zero/casual hours arrangement to support peak periods, annual leave and unplanned absences. Essential Skills and Qualifications Hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 CE licence, ready to take on the open road with confidence. Possess a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card, ensuring you're always compliant and prepared. PLUS an extra £2.75ph for any hours worked between 21:00hrs and 04:00hrs. Shift Hours : Various shifts and start times available. Hours offered on a casual, as-required basis.
