Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a Class 1 Casual Driver to transport packaging materials to production sites and deliver yoghurt products to the logistics site. You will ensure loads are secured and conduct daily vehicle checks while staying in touch with the transport office for real-time updates.

This role requires a UK Class 1 (CE) Licence, DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card, and a dependable, team-spirited approach. Flexible shifts and ongoing training are offered.

About the Role

As a Class 1 Casual Driver, you will:

• Transport packaging materials to production sites and deliver finished yoghurt products to the logistics site.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport office to provide updates on delivery progress and respond to any changes or issues in real time.
• Represent the company professionally at every delivery point, ensuring excellent customer service and building strong relationships with store teams.
• Participate in ongoing training and development, including refresher courses and updates on industry regulations, to keep your skills sharp and compliant.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 (CE) Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.

Competitive Salary: Hourly rate of £19.61ph. This includes holiday pay. PLUS for all hours worked between 21:00hrs and 04:00hrs, you will receive an additional £2.75 per hour.

Shift Hours: Various shifts and start times available. Hours offered on a casual, as-required basis. No guaranteed or fixed weekly hours.
