Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking reliable Class 1 drivers for ongoing temporary assignments in Wishaw. You will operate an HGV on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery points, ensuring timely deliveries and precise paperwork.

A valid UK Class 1 licence, CPC, and tachograph card are essential, with up to 6 points and clean driving history preferred. Shifts are varied with an 8-hour minimum guarantee per shift and full PPE provided.

• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail and parcels efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and secure goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while communicating with the operations team.
• Follow transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.

This temporary Class 1 Driver role in Wishaw offers £21.44 to £24.57 per hour, with various shifts available across an ongoing contract. The successful candidate will safely operate an HGV on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery points, transporting mail and parcels for a well‑known logistics organisation.
