Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting for Night CE (Class 1) Drivers for a leading logistics and distribution business based in Maltby. This role offers regular night work, a pay rate of £22.76 per hour, and ongoing assignments with overtime after 48 hours.

As a Night CE driver you will trunk between distribution centres and customer sites with minimal manual handling, balanced with consistent shifts and thorough pre- and post-shift checks.

Qualifications

• Valid CE (Class 1) Driving Licence.
• CPC qualification card required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Minimum 2 years Class 1 driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out trunking runs between distribution centres and customer locations.
• Complete vehicle checks before and after each shift.

Night CE (Class 1) Drivers to join a leading logistics and distribution business based in

Maltby. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking for regular night work, competitive pay rates, and ongoing assignments.

About the Role

As a Night CE (Class 1) Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out trunking runs between distribution centres and customer locations. This role involves minimal manual handling and offers consistent work for reliable and professional drivers.

Your Duties Will Include:

• Completing scheduled trunk runs safely and efficiently
• Conducting vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed on time
• Maintaining accurate paperwork and tachograph records
• Complying with all Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and Road Traffic regulations
• Communicating effectively with transport planners and site staff

What We're Looking For:

• Valid CE (Class 1) Driving Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum

2 years' Class 1 driving experience

• A professional and reliable approach to work
• No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences (subject to insurance criteria)

Assessment & Induction

• Successful candidates will be required to complete a driving assessment prior to starting work.
• Please note that the assessment is unpaid.
• A site induction will also be required and will be paid in full upon successful completion.
