Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers for a Barnsley-based role. Ongoing work with competitive hourly rates and an immediate start. Shifts include AM and PM starts, with up to 4 drops per shift and deliveries to retail stores.

Candidates must hold Class 1 (CE) or Class 2 (C) licence, CPC card, and Tachograph card, with at least 1 year driving experience. Role is on-site with Monday–Friday hours and multiple shift options.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (CE) or Class 2 (C) Licence.
• Minimum 1 year's driving experience.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours regulations.
• Available to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to retail stores.
• Complete a maximum of 4 drops per shift.
• Perform daily vehicle checks before departure.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Maintain communication with transport team and client.
• Adhere to drivers' hours and road transport rules.

Salary: GBP15 - GBP19 per hour

Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers

Location: Barnsley

Pay Rate:

• AM Class 1 Driver: £17.00 per hour
• AM Class 2 Driver: £15.00 per hour
• PM Class 1 Driver: £18.00 per hour

Times and Days of Work: Monday to Friday (additional shifts may be available)

Position Times:

• AM Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers: 5:00am start
• PM Class 1 Driver: 12:00pm start

About the Role

Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering goods to retail stores, completing a maximum of 4 drops per shift. Drivers will be expected to maintain excellent communication with the client and provide a professional and reliable service at all times.

Your Duties Will Include:

• Completing store deliveries safely and efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks before departure
• Ensuring all delivery paperwork is completed accurately
• Maintaining excellent communication with the transport team and client
• Adhering to drivers' hours, working time regulations and road transport legislation
• Delivering exceptional customer service at all delivery locations
• Reporting any defects or vehicle issues promptly

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Class 1 (CE) or Class 2 (C) Licence
• Minimum 1 year's driving experience
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours regulations
