Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers for ongoing assignments in Barnsley. The role involves delivering goods to retail stores, with up to 4 drops per shift and various start times. Immediate start available and long-term opportunities through January.

Successful candidates will have Class 1 (CE) or Class 2 (C) licences, CPC card, tachograph card and good knowledge of drivers' hours regulations, plus reliable communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (CE) or Class 2 (C) Licence.
• Minimum 1 year's driving experience.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours regulations.
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Completing store deliveries safely and efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks before departure
• Ensuring all delivery paperwork is completed accurately
• Maintaining excellent communication with the transport team and client
• Adhering to drivers' hours, working time regulations and road transport legislation
• Delivering exceptional customer service at all delivery locations
• Reporting any defects or vehicle issues promptly

Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers

Location: Barnsley

Pay Rate:

• AM Class 1 Driver: £17.00 per hour
• AM Class 2 Driver: £15.00 per hour
• PM Class 1 Driver: £18.00 per hour

Times and Days of Work: Monday to Friday (additional shifts may be available)

Position Times:

• AM Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers: 5:00am start
• PM Class 1 Driver: 12:00pm start
