Job summary

The Best Connection is actively sourcing HGV Class 1 (C+E) day shift drivers to join their Middlesbrough depot. The roles include trunk runs between depots, primarily container work, with occasional double-deck or curtain-side loads.

You will operate a Class One vehicle safely with a focus on reliable service and customer satisfaction. Starting times typically 06:00, with variations due to delivery schedules and an emphasis on long-term and ad-hoc assignments.

Qualifications

• C+E licence with no more than 6 points and no DD or DR endorsements.
• In date CPC and Digi card.
• Minimum of 12 months driving experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.

The Best Connection are working closely in partnership with our client to source additional HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) DAY SHIFT DRIVERS to work from their Middlesbrough depot.

*We have adhoc as well as long term roles available*

The role:

• Safe operation of a Class One (C+E) vehicle.
• Trunk runs between depots.
• Mainly Container work
• OCCASIONALLY double-deck, curtain-side.
• Brand new fleet

The candidate:

• "C+E" licence with no more than 6 points and no DD or DR endorsements.
• In date CPC and Digi card.
• Minimum of 12 months driving experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Hours of work:

• 06:00 Start however, start times can vary due to delivery schedule

Pay Rates:

• £14.04 per hour for first 8 hours per day
• £21.06 per hour after 8 hours per day.
